Deio Owen

Deio Owen is originally from Pwllheli in North West Wales where he was SU President at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai while studying his A levels.

Deio attended Cardiff University studying Welsh and Politics before becoming the first full time Welsh Language officer at Cardiff University Students’ Union. He is currently the President of the National Union of Students Wales after being elected in march 2024 and assuming office in July 2024. He is a fluent Welsh speaker and is passionate about using his experiences in both FE and HE to improve the lives of students throughout Wales.
